Emily Sargant

Emily Sargant is a young singer/songwriter from West Yorkshire in the emerging acoustic indie folk/pop tradition of artists like Leddra Chapman and Ed Sheeran.

She first picked up the guitar when she was 14 and she performed her first public gig when she was still only 14 years of age. Since then she has received the support of artists and performers both locally and further afield and has gone on to perform at the Greenbelt festival, suppport internationally famous singer/songwriter Edwina Hayes, up and coming international folk singer Sarah McQuaid, rising star Ellie Williams and more

Emily performs a range of acoustic covers from the more traditional to the downright unexpected, as well as increasingly singing her own material.

Emily counts among her influences Edwina Hayes, Ellie Williams, Adele, Emily Barker and the Red Clay Halo, Leddra Chapman, Missy Higgins, Tori Amos, Lobelia Lawson, Etta Scollo and many others.
